Details

The main section of Biddick Hall was built in the 1720s  however there has always been a mansion house on this site since the property was acquired by the Lambtons during the reign of Elizabeth I.  Located on the 1400 acre Lambton Park, the house is decorated as a classical 18th century style with a fine collection of furniture and paintings. Biddick Hall still has the atmosphere of a family home, something which the owners try very hard to maintain. Biddick is a Grade I-listed building.

Inside

Two floors, the ground floor is home to a formal drawing room and the green sitting room, both with open fires. The dining room seats up to 18 persons. There is a further reception room with multi-channel TV  and grand piano. The main hall has superb neo-classical plasterwork and staircase with fine Italian ironwork banister.

Bedrooms

5 double bedrooms, 1 single on the ground floor as well as 2 rest rooms and a disabled bathroom. There are 3 double bedrooms on the first floor and a single. 1 bedroom is accessed through the library which can also be used as a suite. All bedrooms on the first floor boast four poster beds.

Outside

Mature woodlands, 7 acres of gardens including a Italian garden, topiary, laburnum arches, statuary and an orchard. Access to the house is via a tree lined avenue were beautiful bed of daffodils grow in the spring. An outdoor heated swimming pool is available for guests to use.

Biddick Hall is not a self-catering property. The rates include a chef and waiting staff. A menu selection will be forwarded prior to arrival. House wines are included within the rate.

Biddick Hall is fully licensed for wedding and civil partnerships. Your special event can take place inside Biddick Hall in any of the reception rooms. The entrance to Biddick Hall is also licensed, making it the perfect place for an outdoor wedding ceremony and photos.
