Es Moli de Rullan is a 13th Century former monestery/farm house situated in the hillside in the UNESCO World Heritage Tramuntana range of north west of Mallorca.

Details

The property has breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea, the mountain range known as Es Teix and thousand year old olive trees which line the road up to the property.

Inside

One enters the property through the courtyard with one entrance leading to the main reception hall and another to the original kitchen, with a welcoming inglenook fireplace. Also on the ground floor is the main living room, leading to pool area. A T.V room and fully equipped kitchen, which looks on to the court yard.

Bedrooms

There are three bedrooms on the ground floor, one with en suite bathroom the other two with a shared bathroom. All have sea view terraces. On the second floor are situated two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. One has a separate entrance with a staircase leading to a courtyard.

Outside

A sea view terrace wraps around the house, so from all the ground floor rooms one can access the pool and main sun lounging areas. There is also a BBQ/dinning area set slightly lower than the main terrace, a large table with seating for 10 to 12 people and facilities for BBQ and preparing food. A vine covered pergola provides welcomed shade for meals during the day. Wonderful year round sunsets from all terraces.

Location

About 40 – 45 minutes from Palma airport. Car hire is essential. Smaller cars are better suited to the road that leads up to the property. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive to the village. One can walk to Deia down the mountain path which takes about 35 minutes. Local taxis can be hired.

There are various beaches in the area but the easiest to get to is Cala Deia, a rocky cove with 2 restaurants, which is a 15 minute drive from the property.

Free cleaning once a week, extra cleaning available upon request at an extra cost. Gardener and pool cleaning included. Babysitters and any other extra staff are available upon request.

Things to Do

Deià is a small village located on the northwest coast of Mallorca, between the towns of Valldemossa (4 km) and the hamlet of Llucalcari (2 km) and the town of Soller (12 km).

There are many things to do in Deia, such as enjoying the breathtaking scenery by kayaking along the coastline, hiking or taking guided walks along the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Tramuntana. Within the village one can also enjoy spa treatments in three different hotels (La Residencia, Es Moli or Es Puig), or order private spa sessions to one’s home. Things to see in the village include, the Parish Church of San Juan Bautista or the poet and novelist Robert Grave’s home, which is now a museum. Outside the village one can also visit the Son Marroig Museum, which used to be the estate of the Archduke Ludwig Salvator of the Habsburg- Lorraine family. There are tennis courts that are open to the public with the possibility of private tennis lessons and the entire area is very popular amongst cyclists. One can also arrange for boat hire.
