Set within a beautiful garden of olive trees, the house was designed by the famous architect decorator Vera Aichia.

Inside

The house consists of a large living space with a beautiful fireplace and a well functioning, full equipped kitchen, which opens up into a dining room which seats 8 people.

Bedrooms

There are five lovely bedrooms, and five bathrooms.

Outside

The house sits within a garden of olive trees, pine trees and lavender. Outside the house is a large deck and barbecue area. There are also two corner terraces (East and West) with dining areas, all looking out over the beautiful rice fields. There is also a 17x4m swimming pool with a roller shutter and a terrace around the pool, which has a beautiful view of the rice fields.

The house is located in Brejos da Carregueira, Portugal. The village is just a couple of minutes away and has two restaurants and a bar.

The popular area of Comporta is very nearby. (10 min drive)

The house is close to the capital of Lisbon and the International Airport (1h15 mins drive)

Carvalhal village (5 mins drive)

Housekeeping is included in the cost of the rental: 2 hours per day, 6 days a week.

For lunch spots there are a few restaurants on the nearby beaches (Comporta Café on Comporta beach, 0’Dinis on Carvalhal beach, Sal on the Pego beach).

For dinner, restaurants such as Cavalarica, Museo do Arroz with a lounge bar, Dona Bia are recommended, as well as Hotel Sublime with Celeiro restaurant and bar in Muda 10 mins drive. This is also a Spa.
There are supermarkets in Comporta, in Carvalhal and Grandola. There is also a seafood shop in Carrasquiera and in Setubal, a big food market accessible by ferry.

Enjoy the sandy beaches that stretch 50 kilometers, beach 5 mins drive /15 minutes walk through the rice fields.

Go horse riding or rent bicycles, 5 mins drive in Torre (Cavalos na Areia).
Attend Surf School on Carvalhal beach.
Book Yoga and massage by reservation.
Play Golf nearby in Troia (15mins drive).
Rent a boat to watch dolphins, visit the coast, or the river Sado.
Go shopping in Comporta village (Lavanda, Rice, Babouchette, Côté Sud, Loja do Museo do Arroz…) and local produce (Gomez).
