Located a mere one hour and fifteen minutes south of Portugal’s capital Lisbon, this retreat is nestled on a beautiful 17-acre estate, adjacent to Herdade da Comporta (Portugal’s best kept secret), and characterized by mature pines and cork trees, vineyards, rice fields and nearby untouched white, sandy beaches that stretch 40 kilometers.

Staff and Dining

• Every night the Sublime Comporta Chef, David João, prepares a different ‘menu degustation’ with the freshest ingredients, such as the Atlantic fish and the organic vegetables from our garden, either for hotel guests or external guests.
• During lunch, light meals are served by the balcony or at the restaurant. Many of the ingredients are grown on surrounding farms, including local rice and wine.
• Our wine display keeps the wines at the perfect temperature for consumption and we carry a wide selection of Portuguese wines and French Champagne.
• A bar functions every day until late evening
