The Main House

Surrounded by an amazing garden, rich with a variety of flowers, plants and sculptures of important contemporary artists, Villa Tirrena is a villa of exceptional size and luxury. The main house sleeps 12 and  can be rented alone or with it’s guest house that sleeps up to 10 guests.

Inside

Three adjoining elegant sitting rooms face onto an enormous living room which enjoys spectacularly large windows. The kitchen has a fireplace, and the dining room has seating for 12. Besides the main kitchen with the fireplace, there is another big industrial kitchen recently rebuilt with all mother equipments.

Bedrooms

Villa Tirrena has six bedrooms and can sleep twelve. The bedrooms are luxuriously decorated, with an individual style for each room, each with a telephone, air conditioning and mosquito nets in front of the windows. The bathrooms are finished to a high standard and have jacuzzis. Each bedroom has satellite TV. Villa Tirrena itself comprises of 6 double en-suite rooms whilst the annex sleeps up to 10 with 5 double en-suite bedrooms and is available at extra cost.

Outside

Beside the main house the annex is made up of five double en-suite bedrooms . This is available at extra cost. The large swimming pool (heated when necessary), looks out onto the panoramic garden and is protected by glass door that can be partially opened. In harmony with the swimming pool there is a large area, elegantly equipped for dining purposes and another outdoor living space. A few metres from the villa, the garden with geometric-shaped hedges, contains many pieces of contemporary art. The sculpture garden is one-of-a-kind garden museums of italy and worldwide, and includes sculpture of modern art of the private collection of the d’Amico’s, such as Banksy and Kapoor. A part of this garden is entirely dedicated to Mr. Mark Shand who was very close friend of Mrs. and Mr. d’Amico and who founded the Elephant Family association that protect Asian animals in extinction. The garden contains several sculptures that the d’Amico’s bought in an Auction 5 years ago, and that represent various animals in extinction, made by artists from U.K. to support the association.

The Annex

The annex is part of the same property of the main Villa, but is a separate house about a 2 minute walk away. The annex holds an additional 5 suites (sleeps 10 – one room has two bathrooms) and is rented alongside the main villa at an additional cost.

Location

• Civita di Bagnoregio is 10 minutes away.
• Orvieto, Todi and Baschi are 15 minutes away.
• Assisi and Spoleto 45mins, the heart of Tuscany is 45 minutes away (Siena, San Giminiano, Val d’Orcia, Sinalunga, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza).
• Florençe and Rome are 1 hour 15 minutes away.

Staff & Dining

5 staff during rentals: 1 cook, 2 maids (also laundry), 1 handyman/guardian and 1 house manager.

Extra hours and service are available upon request.

Things to Do

The villa has an extraordinary cellar that can be visited and wine tasting can be organized whenever wished. A guided tour of the winery and the sculpture gardens and a three wine tasting at the renowned Paolo E Noemia D’Amico winery is included.

It is possible to book a masseuse, personal trainer, yoga teacher, beautician and driver with limousine at the villa. The housekeeper can also help with restaurant booking.

Recommended restaurants include: Civita di Bagnoregio: Alma Civita; Bagnoregio: Bocconcino; Lubriano: Il Ponte; Baschi: Sala della Comitissa; Baschi: Casa Vissani in Vissani is considered one of the best chefs in Italy; Cetona: Mondo X – a very exclusive restaurant, inside a monastery of the 13th Century, founded in 1212 by San Francesco d’Assisi; Sinalunga: Locanda dell’Amorosa – in the 12th century, this was an antique village. Now this is a luxury hotel with annex spectacular restaurant. There are also very nice restaurants in Orvieto, such as Vinosus and as Trattoria dell’Orso,
